Today our Lodge had the honor of recognizing Dr. Eastman and her staff of Bay East Animal Hospital for their dedication to our Area K-9’s and presenting her with a plaque in memory of Brown County K-9 Mattis.  Present for the presentation were Deputy Nick Dennis, K-9 Mattis’s handler, and his wife Lizzy, along with numerous K-9Officer from around the County, and several members of Lodge 2 Board. Below is what was read at the presentation. Thanks again to Dr Eastman and her staff for all the continued support of our K-9’s, their handlers and families.

Bay East Animal Hospital provides veterinary services to local law enforcement agency K9s. Dr. Eastman and her dedicated staff go above and beyond their duties to ensure our K9s receive the most quality, thourough and well deserved care. They work diligently on and off the clock with the handlers, responsive on both nights and weekends for any immediate concerns that arise. Dr Eastman and the staff of Bay East are respected, reputable and trustworthy, making the partnership between law enforcement and Bay East irreplaceable.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office former K9 handler Deputy Nick Dennis experience a heartbreaking loss of his K9 Mattis earlier this year. Dr Eastman and staff worked compassionately and tirelessly in many ways for Deputy Dennis, K9 Mattis and his family and after K9 Mattis passed, Nick encouraged recognition for Bay East staff, specifically Dr. Eastman, for their continued contributions to law enforcement K9 families.

The Green Bay Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 proudly presented Dr. Eastman and the staff at Bay Area Animal Hospital with a plaque of appreciation in memory of K9 Mattis. After the presentation, the staff, local K9 handlers and GB FOP board members enjoyed Chipotle lunch together.
